Thank you for your interest in serving in a volunteer position with the Red Door Urban Missions. We appreciate your support of this important goal. Volunteering with the Red Door Urban Missions provides a chance for you to be actively involved in making a positive difference in the lives of children in our Enrichment Resource Centers located in the New Horizon and Peppertree Apartments community. The work our volunteers accomplish collectively impacts hundreds of lives in our region and raises the quality of life for all residents. Volunteers can expect to gain a better understanding of our community and meet and work with others who share a passion to serve the people who live within these communities. You can help by joining us and serving on the mission in the "concrete jungle" of the inner-city. As you know, since 2021 normalcy remains out of reach for many students, educators, and parents. In addition, schools have faced severe staff shortages, high rates of absenteeism and quarantines, and rolling school closures.

Volunteering propels RDUM’s mission forward. There are many reasons to volunteer for RDUM, such as to advance the profession, gain leadership skills, develop professional contacts, and make a positive impact on the lives of the children and families we serve. We ask our volunteers to not just volunteer, but to be great one. Great volunteers don’t just do the work, they have passion, time commitment, are active, and community focused. We are looking for volunteers to serve in an educational role. This role will create an opportunity for volunteers to meet our wonderful scholars where they are in their educational journey.
